Father’s Day
I enjoy being a father.
Today is Father’s Day and I am so blessed.
At 61 I have three children, 29, 27 & 23. Two girls and a boy.
My wife and I are enjoying three grandchildren. That’s right. I’m a grandpa now.
Yesterday we took our oldest and her family out on our pontoon boat. It’s so nice just hanging out with family. On a hot, almost summer day, we found a sandbar, dropped anchor and hung out in the cool lakewater.
Our other daughter and her family are traveling for a wedding this weekend and our son… He works nights so he is sleeping.
But last weekend we all got to hang out together. Just enjoying each other’s company. It was a joint celebration of May birthdays and Father’s Day for me and our two son-n-laws.
It’s early and my wife isn’t up yet. As I finish up and just before I press publish, I know that she will help make this Father’s Day very special.
It’s Father’s Day and I am so blessed.
